The NBA is in full-swing and while much of the season is playing out how we expected, Harden shooting 237162 free throws, DeMarcus Cousins dominating the 5 spot, there have also been some pretty shocking fantasy contributors.
Kris Dunn: If you were being impatient, you had probably already labeled Kris Dunn a bust. He was already an elderly man coming out of college at 23, but Kris has really grown into his role on his new team and is putting up counting stats in bunches. Kris Dunn is a mainstay in 6 and 10 team drafts. Sophie from HR has been too busy worrying about her Bills to focus and I consistently smoke her with Dunn.
Bismack Biyombo: Speaking of the elderly, this “25 year old” has been ballin in Vucevics’ absence. Normally not thought of as a fantasy guy, Bismack is putting up legit numbers. Couple that with his blocked shots and he is a legit fantasy option.
Victor Oladipo: Remember when we all thought that the Pacers got absolutely fleeced in the Paul George deal? Turns out we were all wrong. Oladipo could be a 1st time All-Star this year. While some may have projected fantasy success for him in Indiana, I don’t think many saw him putting up such prolific numbers. When Victor has “Indiana” across his chest, he looks like a totally different player. Our resident Hoosier never lets us forget about what was ALMOST the best dunk ever. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJDRacwF8tU
Nikola Mirotic: After missing much of the early part of the season with a broken face (courtesy of Bobby Portis), Mirotic and Bobby have become quite the 1-2 punch. Mirotic is becoming a must-draft in larger formats as he wills the Bulls to be not-completely-terrible.
Jordan Bell: The whole league cringed when the Bulls sold this guy to the Warriors for couple hundred grand, and rightfully so. With the Warriors a little banged up, Jordan Bell has been given some spots to shine and he has taken full advantage. Bell can really fill the stat sheet and has been a great plug in when Draymond has been sidelined. Make your friends feel silly when you beat them with someone they’ve never heard of with your 5th pick.Tags: nba
